Online Course Project

The course I created was built using the moodle cloud service. The reason I chose this tool was my interest in learning this particular learning management system. As a web developer, I decided to select a course related to HTML5 and CSS3, the latest design tools for responsive web creation. I included a small introduction to the concept of mobile first design. The moodle environment allows for the integration of multi-media components and the assessment tools are valuable components. The site can be accessed by using "demo" for both the username and password. I also included several opportunities for students to exchange their experience with the course in an effort to provide me with constructive criticism about my course.

ED P 590 - Selected Topics in Educational Psychology

Our summer session included STEM classes that we selected and customized to present to a group of children at the Boys and Girls Club. My group selected the recycled racer project that had the children create their own racer from recycled materials. The object was to create a light-weight vehicle that could be powered using the wind energy of a balloon. In this class we introduced a series of apps that the kids could use to track speed and distance as well as keep records of their progress. The apps allowed the students to record their findings in different ways, including audio, video or written documentation.
